I’m LaTasha Snider, a Visual Storyteller and Photographer based in Boston, MA.

For me, photography is an inheritance.

My late uncle, Alexander Akins Sr was notorious for being behind a camera since the 80s. He captured many family gatherings and everyday moments on film that we still get to enjoy till this day.

Through the years, many of the people he captured passed away including him. But through those tapes and photographs, their memory will live forever.

I’ve always understood the importance of photos, but recently that understanding deepened in a way I was not prepared for.

Photography isn’t just about documentation, it’s about preservation. Photos have the ability to transcend time. It creates something that outlives us all. 

My work and my business is based on this understanding. I am passionate about capturing intimate everyday moments and cinematic portraits that hold emotional weight. Images that feel lived in, not staged.
